From art and music to movement and sensory play, this vibrant space invites families to explore, create, and connect through joyful, engaging activities. Whether you're a curious kid or a kid-at-heart, there’s something here to spark your imagination!

Learn about the meaning and use of traditional medicine pouches while crafting your own to take home.

Bead and Bone Lanyards with Chris Porter
Explore Indigenous beadwork by making your own bead and bone lanyard – a unique keepsake and learning experience.

Join Krysanne, Nicole, and Alana for a vibrant and soulful experience that combines creative art and movement as powerful forms of expression and healing.

🌿 Move, Make, Reclaim

A celebration of culture and collective healing, this "Boots on the Ground" community session blends trauma-informed embodiment practices with joyful, creative art expression. Festival-goers will explore movement and art as acts of resistance, reclamation, and resilience. This vibrant space honors joy, grief, pride, and power — especially for marginalized communities — creating a collective experience where healing and celebration come alive.

Join Kitchener Public Library (KPL) and Waterloo Public Library (WPL) at the Interactive Discovery Zone, located right next to the Rhythm & Blues Tent, for a fun and inspiring weekend at the 2025 Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Festival (KWMF)!
