FAQs

Can I bring my dog?

Yes – on a leash. Victoria Park is owned by the City of Kitchener and normal by-laws about dogs apply so they must be on a leash.

Is there a beer tent?

No. The Festival is not licensed to serve alcohol.

Can I volunteer?

Yes, we will open volunteer applications in May and complete volunteer interviews and orientation in June.

We cannot accept volunteer sign-ups at the festival because of important training that needs to be completed and forms that require signatures ahead of time.

Is there a schedule of performances?

Yes. We will post the stage schedule onthis website and it will be posted at the KWMulticultural Centre tent also.

Is it cancelled if the weather is bad?

Nope! The Festival goes on rain or shine! Look ahead to see the local weather forecast and dress accordingly.

Is this a public or private event? What if people are taking photos?

This is a public event and is held in public space. Members of the public are entitled to take photos and videos.

Will there be face painting? / Are there any activities for kids?

We will have a Kids Area that will be hosted by multiple different community groups with colouring, bubbles, hula-hoops, and scheduled activities throughout the weekend.

How will I know the time of the stage acts so that I don't miss their performances?

Please check with the stage schedule, note times may differ if there are weather delays etc.

Is this cash-only? Or can I pay by tap/credit/debit?

There will be an ATM on site. Some vendors may accept tap/debit/credit, but most will only accept cash.

Do I need to bring water?

It would be a good idea to bring water, or a refillable bottle. There will be water refilling stations available. You can also purchase drinks from the food vendors.

Should I bring my own chair?

There are picnic tables in the eating area only.
